Blake Kitchens: Co-owner & Operations Director

Blake and his family aren’t natives of Carrollton, GA, but have put down roots here since graduating from college. A friend gave him an electric smoker while he was in college, and it was all down hill from there. Since then he has been perfecting his craft at cooking bbq and grilling. Beginning competition cooking late in 2019, he and the Hound Hogs team have found success in the competition circuit. Blake loves cold weather, and is terrified of food poisoning and shower wasps.

Zach Simpkins: Co-owner & Sales Director

Zach and his family are locals of Carrollton, GA. Zach spent his early career in the United States Marine Corps as a helicopter mechanic and is now back home working in the family construction business. His passion for bbq grew simply from his desire to spend time with family and friends while playing with fire. Naturally, his competitive nature drew him to the steak and bbq competition scene where he found his love for the SCA and KCBS organizations. He also loves long walks on the beach, the smell of burning charcoal, CLP, and his wife’s hair.
